Effort Is Not a Result

Visible effort is easily mistaken for impact. But impact appears later and usually elsewhere: in decisions that come more easily, teams that ask fewer questions, clients who return.

That is why it pays to define impact early — not as a number alone, but as an observable change in everyday work.

What This Means for Projects

If you want to measure impact, name in advance what should change. Everything else is hindsight with a friendly interpretation.
